Bahrain’s Iconic Water Park Rebrands to “Janat Dilmun” with $30 Million Transformation
Bahrain’s most beloved water park, The Lost Paradise of Dilmun (LPOD), is set to embark on an exciting new chapter. The Al Areen Leisure and Tourism Co. has announced a massive USD 30 million rebranding and upgrade project, unveiling a fresh new identity, “Janat Dilmun,” symbolizing paradise and celebrating Bahrain’s cultural legacy.
The announcement was made during an official signing ceremony at the Gateway Gulf Investment Forum, attended by top executives and project partners. Distinguished guests included Mr. Ameen Al Arrayed, Board Member at LPOD; Mr. Majed Al Khan, Board Member of LPOD; Dr. Essa Faqih, CEO of Areen Hospitality; and Mr. Aaron Wilson, Senior Vice President at ProSlide Technology Inc., a global leader in water ride design and innovation.
With this rebranding, Janat Dilmun aims to redefine family entertainment and tourism in Bahrain. The first phase of the transformation will see a complete upgrade of the park’s façade and internal facilities, along with the introduction of two record-breaking attractions:
-
Hive 35: The first of its kind in the Middle East, promising a thrilling and unique water experience.
-
RideHouse: A massive multi-slide complex featuring one of the largest tipping buckets in the world, ideal for families and thrill-seekers alike.
Adding to the cultural charm, visitors will get to explore the Stingray Petting Zone and the interactive Pearl Hunt Experience, inspired by Bahrain’s rich pearl-diving heritage and marine life. These new experiences aim to merge education, culture, and adventure, offering guests a deeper connection to Bahrain’s natural beauty and traditions.
With Janat Dilmun, Al Areen Leisure and Tourism Co. is not only revamping a national landmark but also positioning Bahrain as a premier regional destination for leisure and tourism innovation.
