StartUp Bahrain Announces Winners of Its 18th Pitch Competition Edition

StartUp Bahrain has officially announced the winners of the 18th edition of its Pitch Competition, celebrating yet another milestone in Bahrain’s dynamic entrepreneurial landscape. Backed by the Labour Fund (Tamkeen) in collaboration with the Ministry of Industry and Commerce, Bahrain Economic Development Board, and Bahrain Development Bank, this edition brought together some of the most promising startups in the Kingdom. The competition provided a platform for emerging entrepreneurs to pitch their innovative ideas in front of an expert panel of judges and a wider ecosystem of investors and mentors.

This edition featured four standout finalists: Tammam, an AI-powered smart order management app; Rentat, a proptech platform streamlining property management and rent collection; Safer, a travel-focused fintech offering Buy Now, Pay Later services; and BizBay, a digital marketplace connecting buyers, sellers, and investors to facilitate seamless exits and safeguard investments. After a competitive round of pitching, Tammam emerged as the first-place winner, recognized for its innovative application of AI in order management. BizBay secured second place, impressing judges with its potential to transform the investment landscape for small businesses.

The judging panel included prominent names such as Fatma Sultan Bahwan (Chief Commercial Officer at AlJabr MENA), Sam Marchant (Partner at Inaugural), Karim Konsowa (Portfolio Manager at Hub71), and Laith Al-Khalili (Associate Director at Mumtalakat), all of whom brought valuable insights to the decision-making process. Reflecting on the achievement, Tammam’s representative Noor Alderazi shared, “Winning first place is a great honor. StartUp Bahrain Pitch gave us an invaluable opportunity to showcase our vision on a national platform among industry experts and investors.” Ali AlSawad of BizBay echoed similar sentiments, thanking the supporting organizations for enabling startups to access new growth opportunities through such a dynamic platform.

StartUp Bahrain’s Pitch Competition continues to be a key driver of innovation and entrepreneurial growth in the Kingdom.
