Abu Dhabi has taken a significant step forward in preventive healthcare with the introduction of Trucheck Intelli, an advanced, non-invasive cancer screening blood test now available at Burjeel Hospitals in the UAE.
The new test is designed to help detect more than 70 types of solid cancers at an early stage, offering hope for earlier diagnosis and improved treatment outcomes.
Early detection through a simple blood test
Trucheck Intelli is aimed at individuals aged 40 and above and requires no fasting or complex preparation. A single blood sample is sufficient, making the screening process simple, quick, and accessible.
According to medical experts, the test delivers an accuracy rate of 95 to 98 percent, helping identify cancers that often remain undetected until advanced stages. These include pancreatic, gastric, liver, ovarian, lung, and brain cancers, which are often referred to as “silent cancers” due to their lack of early symptoms.
What the test can and cannot detect
While Trucheck Intelli offers broad cancer detection capabilities, it is important to note that it does not detect blood-related cancers, such as leukemia or lymphoma. Specialists emphasize that the test is intended to complement, not replace, routine screenings like mammograms, colonoscopies, and imaging tests.
Doctors say combining Trucheck Intelli with existing screening programs can significantly enhance early diagnosis, when treatment is typically more effective and survival rates are higher.
Availability in the UAE
Trucheck Intelli is now available across Burjeel Hospitals in the UAE, including Abu Dhabi. Test results are generally delivered within two weeks, allowing for timely follow-up consultations and further diagnostic evaluation if required.
