Pakistani Ambassador Saqib Rauf has strongly affirmed that the diplomatic and economic relations between Pakistan and the Kingdom of Bahrain are firmly founded on mutual trust, shared values, and close cooperation, noting that their economic partnership has evolved into a vital pillar of bilateral ties.

High-Level Meetings: The ambassador made these remarks during an official visit to the offices of Akhbar Al Khaleej, where he was warmly received by Editor-in-Chief Anwar Abdulrahman and General Manager Abdulmajid Haji.
Bilateral Trade Targets: Ambassador Rauf revealed that current bilateral trade stands at approximately $550 million, with the leaderships of both nations actively aspiring to double this figure to $1 billion in the coming years.
Strategies for Growth: He emphasized Pakistan’s dedicated commitment to achieving this ambitious target by exploring new areas of cooperation, strengthening direct links between the respective business communities, and encouraging mutually beneficial investments.
Economic Complementarity: Highlighting the deep trade synergy, Ambassador Rauf pointed out that Pakistan serves as a major supplier of essential food products to Bahrain including meat, grains, vegetables, and fresh fruits while Bahrain stands as a crucial source of aluminum products, reflecting the natural compatibility of the two economies.
Institutional Support: The ambassador also noted that this robust economic cooperation is heavily backed by a strong institutional framework consisting of 11 joint Bahrain-Pakistan working groups, the majority of which focus directly on trade, investment, and bilateral economic cooperation.
