PRIMARK TO OPEN IN THE KINGDOM OF SAUDI ARABIA IN PARTNERSHIP WITH ALSHAYA GROUP
Primark is set to make its highly anticipated entry into the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in partnership with Alshaya Group, marking a major milestone for the global fashion retailer in the region.
The move follows Primark’s strong reception across the Gulf, including its recent flagship store openings in Dubai and Kuwait, where thousands of customers turned out to experience the brand’s affordable fashion and lifestyle offering.
As part of its regional growth plans, Primark is expected to open stores in Saudi Arabia next year, bringing its range of womenswear, menswear, childrenswear, home and beauty to shoppers in the Kingdom.
The expansion is part of a wider agreement between Alshaya Group and Shomoul Holding, the developer of The Avenues Riyadh and a subsidiary of Mabanee Company. Under the agreement, Alshaya Group plans to invest more than $150 million to open 100 stores featuring its world-famous brands and create more than 2,500 employment opportunities for Saudi nationals.
The Saudi launch adds to Primark’s growing presence across the GCC, with new stores also planned in Bahrain and Qatar later this year.
For Saudi shoppers, the arrival of Primark will introduce the brand’s popular combination of latest fashion trends, everyday essentials and value-focused pricing, further expanding the Kingdom’s rapidly growing international retail landscape.
