Bahrain Paralympic Committee Hosts West Asia #FootballForAll Festival for Athletes with Determination
Manama : The Bahrain Paralympic Committee, in collaboration with the West Asia Football Federation, is organising the West Asia #FootballForAll Festival for athletes with determination. The two-day event, held from December 2–3, features participation from players representing the Kingdom of Bahrain, the Republic of Iraq, and the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan.
The festival underscores the Committee’s dedication to supporting football for athletes with determination, enhancing player skills, and promoting a spirit of healthy competition among the participating teams. It also serves as a platform for athletes from different countries to exchange experiences and broaden their engagement in the sport.
Khalid Al Bastaki, Manager of Sports and Initiatives at the Bahrain Paralympic Committee, highlighted the importance of the festival in nurturing players and encouraging knowledge-sharing across countries, ultimately contributing to the sport’s growth at regional and international levels.
The festival aims to create an inspiring environment that allows athletes to gain competitive experience, identify emerging talent, and strengthen regional cooperation within West Asia. It promotes values of sportsmanship and supports the region’s ongoing efforts toward integration through sports.
The programme includes competitive matches and training sessions led by a specialised coaching team to ensure the festival meets its technical and developmental goals.
The event is supported by the Bahrain Football Association, which remains committed to integrating athletes with determination into football activities. Through ongoing collaboration, the association provides resources, facilities, stadiums, and technical and administrative expertise reflecting its dedication to social and sporting responsibility. This partnership enhances football inclusion across Bahraini society and reinforces the Kingdom’s position as a regional hub for developing inclusive football.
