BIC Hosts Back-to-Back Rounds as Battles Heat Up in Bahrain Rotax MAX Challenge

Manama, Bahrain International Circuit (BIC), widely known as ‘The Home of Motorsport in the Middle East’, hosted two consecutive rounds of the local karting championship this past weekend as part of the second and third rounds of the 2025/2026 Bahrain Rotax MAX Challenge (BRMC).

The competition saw thrilling performances across all categories. Enzo Younes claimed victory in the Micro MAX category, Shaikh Ahmed bin Saqer Al Khalifa triumphed in Junior MAX, and Rakan Alfayez dominated the DD2 MAX. Other notable winners included Leo Saruhan in Mini MAX and Demir Abali in Senior MAX for round two, while Tariq Soofi won Mini MAX and Luca Houghton took Senior MAX in round three.

Round Two Highlights-

  • Micro MAX: Enzo Younes completed nine laps in 9:22.673 to secure first place.

  • Mini MAX: Leo Saruhan edged out competitors in 9:00.440, finishing less than a second ahead of the top four. Rhys Daulat was second, 0.284s behind, and Faisal Alnajjar third, 0.612s back.

  • Junior MAX: Shaikh Ahmed won the 15-lap final in 13:56.686, with Leopold Juch 2.104s behind and Ryan Suckling 3.410s back.

  • Senior MAX: Demir Abali crossed the line in 13:30.910, 1.716s ahead of Khaled Najjar, with Musaad Albassam third, 1.992s behind.

  • DD2 MAX: Rakan Alfayez dominated with 13:28.045, 16.149s ahead of Abdulqader Qasem, while Talal Alattas finished third, 23.853s back.

Round Three Highlights-

  • Micro MAX: Enzo Younes again led, finishing in 9:24.272, with Rashid Almahroos 9.969s behind.

  • Mini MAX: Tariq Soofi won in 8:50.328, 7.341s ahead of Rhys Daulat, with Faisal Alnajjar third, 7.606s back.

  • Junior MAX: Shaikh Ahmed secured victory in 13:46.370, followed by Leopold Juch 4.958s behind and Ryan Suckling 11.085s back.

  • Senior MAX: Luca Houghton crossed the line first in 13:28.211, with Mohammed Alhasan second, 3.501s behind, and Khaled Najjar third, 5.493s back.

  • DD2 MAX: Rakan Alfayez completed a consecutive win in 13:16.031, 4.656s ahead of Abdulqader Qasem, while Talal Alattas finished third, 19.055s behind.

The 2025/2026 Bahrain Rotax MAX Challenge features eight rounds, with the next races scheduled for 10 January, 30 January, 13 February, and 28 March, culminating in the championship final on 18 April. Enthusiasts can expect more high-speed action as drivers continue to battle for championship glory.
