Diljit Dosanjh Takes Flight as Fierce Fighter Pilot in First Look From Border 2
Actor-musician Diljit Dosanjh marks a powerful entry into the world of war drama with his striking first look from Anurag Singh’s Border 2, unveiled on Monday. The image captures Diljit as a military aviator, taking on enemy aircraft mid-flight in an intense combat sequence. Dressed in a fighter pilot uniform, bloodied yet unyielding, he is seen maneuvering a slightly damaged jet while enemy planes close in setting the tone for a high-impact narrative.
The makers, T-Series, shared the look on social media with the caption, “Iss desh ke aasmaan mein Guru ke baaz pehra dete hain.” The reveal instantly generated excitement among fans, including a response from actor Suniel Shetty, who starred in the original 1997 film Border. Diljit also posted a video of himself in pilot gear, set to the iconic track Sandesa Aaya Hai, adding a nostalgic touch for long-time admirers of the franchise.
Directed by Anurag Singh, Border 2 serves as the sequel to JP Dutta’s 1997 classic, which was set against the backdrop of the Indo-Pakistani War of 1971. The new film brings together a dynamic ensemble cast featuring Sunny Deol, Varun Dhawan, Diljit Dosanjh, Ahan Shetty, Medha Rana, Mona Singh, and Sonam Bajwa. Produced by Bhushan Kumar, JP Dutta, and Nidhi Dutta, the film aims to carry forward the legacy of bravery, patriotism, and sacrifice that defined the original.
Expected to be one of 2026’s biggest theatrical releases, Border 2 is slated to hit cinemas on January 23, 2026, aligning with the Republic Day weekend. With first looks of Sunny Deol and Varun Dhawan already generating buzz, Diljit’s intense portrayal of a fighter pilot further heightens anticipation for this epic war sequel.
