GITEX TechCation 2026: Dubai to Host World’s Largest Tech and AI Event

Dubai, UAE – October 17, 2025
Under the visionary leadership of Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, GITEX TechCation 2026 is set to become the world’s largest technology and artificial intelligence event.
The event will be developed under the supervision of Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Defence, and Chairman of The Executive Council of Dubai.
Taking place from December 7–11, 2026, at Expo City Dubai, GITEX TechCation will transform the city into a global nexus of innovation, investment, culture, and lifestyle. The event will bring together leading technology companies, startups, investors, and creatives in an immersive citywide celebration of the digital future.
In a major strategic move, Dubai World Trade Centre (DWTC) and the Dubai Department of Economy and Tourism (DET) have partnered to deliver the event. This collaboration aims to merge Dubai’s renowned hospitality and tourism infrastructure with its expanding global tech ecosystem.
“GITEX TechCation represents a bold reimagining of how the global tech community connects and innovates,” said Trixie LohMirmand, EVP of DWTC. “We’re moving beyond the convention halls to harness the full energy and lifestyle of Dubai.
Issam Kazim, CEO of the Dubai Corporation for Tourism and Commerce Marketing, added: “This is more than a tech show it’s a global innovation and lifestyle experience that aligns perfectly with the Dubai Economic Agenda (D33).”
With Dubai repeatedly ranked as the #1 global destination (Tripadvisor’s Travellers’ Choice Awards 2022–2024), and home to 119 MICHELIN Guide restaurants, GITEX TechCation will tap into the emirate’s dynamic tourism and culture scene.
Aligned with D33’s vision to make Dubai one of the top three global cities by 2033, the event will reinforce the city’s status as a magnet for tech talent, investors, and entrepreneurs. Dubai currently ranks first worldwide for Greenfield FDI projects and first in Savills’ Executive Nomad Index (H1 2025).
