Doha’s skyline is set to come alive with color as the Qatar Kite Festival returns in January 2026, transforming the Old Doha Port into a vibrant celebration of art, family fun, and outdoor entertainment.

Scheduled to take place from January 15 to January 24, 2026, the festival will be hosted at Mina Park, Old Doha Port, one of the city’s most scenic waterfront locations. The event promises a visually stunning experience with both day and night kite displays, making it a must-visit winter attraction for residents and visitors alike.

Throughout the festival, the skies will be filled with giant artistic kites, precision kite flying, and illuminated displays after sunset. In addition to watching professional kite flyers from around the world, visitors can take part in interactive workshops, where children and adults alike can learn how to design, build, and fly their own kites.

Beyond the kites, the festival offers a lively atmosphere with food stalls, family-friendly activities, and entertainment zones, creating a full-day experience by the sea.
