Ras Al Khaimah Introduces Classic Car Taxi Service for Nostalgic Tourist Rides
Ras Al Khaimah has launched a classic car taxi service aimed at offering tourists a nostalgic journey through the emirate’s past. Introduced by the Ras Al Khaimah Transport Authority on Friday, the service is designed to immerse visitors in a travel experience that combines heritage, charm, and cultural identity.
The initiative aligns with the authority’s broader plans to enhance the transport system and expand mobility options for both residents and visitors, supporting the emirate’s growing tourism sector with distinctive, culturally rich services.
The classic taxis will operate along designated routes, including rides within Marjan Island and connections between the island and Corniche Al Qawasim in both directions. An additional route will cover the full length of Corniche Al Qawasim, linking key tourist and leisure destinations while offering a travel experience steeped in heritage.
Operating daily from 4:00 pm to 10:00 pm, the service also provides scenic sightseeing opportunities, allowing tourists to enjoy the emirate’s attractions in a uniquely nostalgic setting.
Engineer Ismail Hassan Al Balushi, Director General of the Ras Al Khaimah Transport Authority, stated that the classic taxi service reflects the authority’s commitment to strengthening the transport network while providing flexible and diverse mobility options. He highlighted that the initiative will also showcase Ras Al Khaimah’s cultural character, enhancing its appeal as a distinctive tourist destination.
With this new offering, visitors can now explore the emirate through a journey in time, blending comfort, culture, and a touch of nostalgia.
