Wael bin Nasser Al Mubarak, Minister of Municipalities and Agriculture Affairs, has inaugurated the newly renovated Abu Ghazal Park in Complex 330, District Five of the Capital Governorate, following the completion of an extensive rehabilitation project.

The park’s redevelopment forms part of the Ministry’s wider plan to upgrade public facilities and enhance the quality of services provided to residents across the Kingdom. The project focused on improving safety, functionality, and overall visitor experience, ensuring the park caters to all age groups.

Key upgrades included the renovation of the fountain, installation of rubber flooring in children’s play areas, and the addition of new playground equipment, canopies, and outdoor fitness devices. Essential infrastructure such as fencing, signage, lighting, and other public amenities were also repaired and upgraded.

In addition, landscaping works were intensified, with expanded greenery and tree planting aimed at creating a safe, welcoming, and visually appealing environment. These enhancements contribute to improved urban aesthetics while promoting outdoor activity and relaxation.

Covering an area of 5,642 square metres, Abu Ghazal Park is designed to encourage healthy lifestyles, expand green spaces within the capital, and provide a recreational and social hub for the local community. Officials highlighted the importance of ongoing cooperation between the Ministry of Municipalities and Agriculture Affairs and the Capital Municipality in ensuring high standards of quality, sustainability, and long-term maintenance in public facility development.
