ROX Launches New Flagship ADAMAS SUV in Abu Dhabi, Strengthening China–UAE Mobility Ties

In a landmark moment for both ROX Motor and the UAE’s growing mobility ecosystem, the Chinese new-energy vehicle manufacturer unveiled its global flagship SUV, the ROX ADAMAS, in Abu Dhabi. The launch highlights the brand’s international growth and deepens its commitment to regional collaboration, sustainability, and innovation in next-generation mobility.

A key feature of the launch was the inauguration of the Borouge ROX Motor Innovative Materials Joint Laboratory, an initiative designed to accelerate the co-development of advanced materials tailored for ROX vehicles. This collaboration reflects a shared commitment to pushing the boundaries of what’s possible in the mobility sector and aligns with Abu Dhabi’s vision of becoming a hub for sustainable, tech-driven industries.

The Abu Dhabi Investment Office (ADIO) played a strategic role in enabling this partnership through its Automotive Program. Mohammad Ali Al Kamali, Chief Trade & Industry Officer at ADIO, emphasized that the launch of ROX ADAMAS signifies more than the debut of a new vehicle it reflects the emirate’s ambition to lead in future industries through strategic partnerships and innovation. He noted that this collaboration between ROX Motor, Borouge, and ADIO is a model of how global innovation can be localized to support industrial development, sustainable transport, and economic diversification.

At the heart of ROX ADAMAS lies a philosophy the company calls “Gliding Luxury” a driving experience where power and precision meet comfort and elegance. Inspired by Abu Dhabi’s aesthetic sensibilities and forward-thinking design culture, the ADAMAS offers a seamless blend of performance and refinement. It is available in both six- and seven-seat configurations, making it versatile for family use, long-distance travel, or everyday urban comfort.

The SUV is built on ROX Motor’s next-generation Range-Extended Electric Vehicle (REEV) platform, delivering a pure-electric range of 235 kilometers and a total range of 1,226 kilometers. With a dual-motor all-wheel-drive system generating 350 kW and 740 N·m of torque, the ROX ADAMAS accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in just 5.5 seconds. Its closed air suspension and DCC adaptive damping ensure comfort and control across varied terrain types road, mountain, mud, snow, wading, and sand. The vehicle also features off-road cruise control, hill descent control, and a specialized desert thermal management system for optimal performance in extreme temperatures.

Inside, the cabin is anchored by the ROX OS Intelligent Cockpit, powered by the Qualcomm 8155 chip. The system supports Arabic voice control, multi-screen interaction, and integrates with a global app ecosystem. Features like L2+ driver assistance, OTA software updates, and both internal (2.2kW) and external (3.5kW) V2L power outputs add to the SUV’s everyday utility. Standout features such as the Tailgate Kitchen 2.0 and roof-edge canopy further extend the vehicle’s luxury into outdoor living, seamlessly merging technology with lifestyle.

Speaking at the launch, Jarvis Yan, Founder and CEO of ROX Motor, described the ADAMAS as a reflection of the brand’s global aspirations and a symbol of long-term partnership with Abu Dhabi. “Born from Chinese innovation and refined through Abu Dhabi’s standards of excellence, it represents our shared belief that true luxury lies in collaboration and progress,” Yan stated.
