Tremors Felt Across UAE After 4.6 Magnitude Quake in Musandam
A magnitude 4.6 earthquake struck the southern Musandam region yesterday afternoon, with slight tremors felt in parts of the United Arab Emirates, according to the National Centre of Meteorology (NCM).
The quake occurred at 4:40 pm UAE time at a shallow depth of 5 kilometres, prompting brief vibrations reported by residents in Ras Al Khaimah and Fujairah.
Authorities confirmed that the tremor had no impact on the UAE, and there were no reports of damage or casualties. The NCM continues to monitor seismic activity in the region, emphasizing that such minor tremors are not uncommon and generally pose no significant risk to residents.
