Abu Dhabi Sustainability Week 2026 drives global action under “The nexus of next” theme

Abu Dhabi Sustainability Week (ADSW) 2026 concluded after a week-long program held from January 11 to 17, 2026, at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre (ADNEC), reaffirming its position as one of the world’s leading platforms for advancing sustainability and climate action.

Held under the theme “The Nexus of Next: All Systems Go,” ADSW 2026 focused on mobilizing global leaders, policymakers, investors, and innovators to accelerate practical and scalable solutions across energy, finance, technology, water, and food systems.

The event brought together heads of state, ministers, business leaders, and sustainability pioneers to strengthen international collaboration and drive measurable progress toward climate and development goals. Discussions throughout the week emphasized the urgent need to align policy, capital, and technology to deliver real-world impact.

A major highlight of ADSW 2026 was the World Future Energy Summit (WFES), which served as a global exhibition and think tank showcasing innovations in clean energy, water solutions, circular economy practices, and sustainable mobility. WFES provided a critical platform for governments and companies to explore next-generation technologies and partnerships.

The Zayed Sustainability Prize Awards Ceremony also took center stage, honoring global pioneers and organizations making meaningful contributions to sustainable development across health, energy, food, water, climate action, and education.

Other key events included the Green Hydrogen Summit, which examined the role of green hydrogen in the global energy transition, and the ADSW Summit, featuring high-level dialogues on sustainability-driven innovation, climate finance, and emerging technologies. Ecowaste 2026, a parallel event, addressed challenges and solutions in waste management and resource efficiency.

With its comprehensive agenda and global participation, ADSW 2026 reinforced the UAE’s leadership role in driving climate action and sustainable development while serving as a catalyst for collaboration, investment, and innovation in building a more resilient and sustainable future.
