Bahrain and UAE Deepen Space Cooperation at Dubai Airshow 2025

Bahrain and the United Arab Emirates have taken a significant step toward advancing regional space cooperation following a high-level meeting at Dubai Airshow 2025. HE Shaikh Khalid bin Ali Al Khalifa, Chairman of the Bahrain Space Agency, met with Dr. Ahmed Belhoul Al Falasi, UAE Minister of Sports and Chairman of the UAE Space Agency, to discuss new avenues for space collaboration. Their dialogue centered on developing joint satellite missions, boosting space-related research and development, and enhancing training programs aimed at cultivating the next generation of Arab space scientists and engineers.

During his visit, Shaikh Khalid toured the Mohammed bin Rashid Space Centre, where he met Emirati astronauts including Dr. Sultan Al Neyadi. The tour provided an opportunity to explore upcoming projects focused on deep space exploration, marking a shared ambition to position the region as a growing contributor to global space science. Both nations reaffirmed their commitment to pushing the boundaries of innovation, reinforcing the strategic partnership that continues to elevate the Gulf's presence in the evolving space sector.
