Family Fun Day to Debut at Spinneys Dubai 92 Cycle Challenge in February 2026

Dubai is set to welcome a new family-focused cycling experience with the launch of Family Fun Day as part of the Spinneys Dubai 92 Cycle Challenge. The inaugural event will take place at Expo City Dubai on Saturday, 14 February 2026, offering a full day of activities designed to bring families, young riders, and the wider community together.

Held in partnership with the Dubai Sports Council, Family Fun Day will combine the popular Spinneys Junior Rides, a newly introduced Family Fun Ride, and the Eat Well Live Well Village, creating a lively and inclusive celebration ahead of the main race weekend.

The morning programme will be dedicated to the Spinneys Junior Rides, open to children aged two to 12 years. These age-appropriate rides aim to build confidence, encourage fitness, and inspire a love of cycling in a safe and supportive environment. Younger participants in the Mini Movers and Pedal Pals categories will ride shorter loops within Expo City Dubai, while older riders in categories such as Rocket Riders, Speed Squad, Power Pedallers, and Rapid Racers will take on longer routes extending onto surrounding roads.

All junior participants will enjoy a race-day atmosphere and will receive medals, certificates, entertainment, and refreshments. Ride distances range from 1km for Mini Movers (ages 2–3) to 9km for Power Pedallers and Rapid Racers (ages 9–12).

From early afternoon, attention will shift to the new Family Fun Ride, a relaxed 3km loop open to all ages. Designed for families to cycle together, the route will wind around Expo City Dubai’s landmarks and feature live entertainment, activity zones, themed characters, face painting, mascots, and spot prizes, offering a fresh experience with each lap.

Children who take part in the Junior Rides can join the Family Fun Ride at no additional cost, while children under eight may participate if accompanied by a parent. All Family Fun Day participants will receive a finisher medal provided by Spinneys.

Families can also unwind at the Eat Well Live Well Village, which will offer food options, entertainment spaces, and relaxation areas, reinforcing the event’s focus on wellness, healthy living, and community engagement.

Organisers say the introduction of Family Fun Day reflects the continued evolution of the Spinneys Dubai 92 Cycle Challenge as one of the region’s most inclusive and community-driven sporting events, bringing together professional cyclists, amateurs, and families from across the Middle East.
