14-Year-Old Bahrain-Based Racer Farhan bin Shafeel Prepares for 2025–2026 Rotax Max Challenge Season

Manama, October 21, 2025 –
Farhan bin Shafeel, a 14-year-old Grade 8 student at The Indian School Bahrain (ISB), is set to compete in the upcoming Bahrain Rotax Max Challenge (BRMC) 2025–2026 season, marking a significant step in his motorsport journey. The Indian national will race in the highly competitive Senior Max category, with aspirations of one day reaching Formula 1.
Farhan’s passion for racing began at a young age during a rental karting session at the Bahrain International Karting Circuit (BIKC), where he first discovered his talent behind the wheel. His potential quickly became evident during a 24-hour karting assessment at the same circuit, earning him a place on the NorthStar Racing team one of Bahrain’s top karting outfits.
Demonstrating impressive progress for his age, Farhan recently finished 10th in a senior category race, a notable achievement as one of the youngest drivers in the field. With his own racing kart and an official license now in hand, he is undergoing a rigorous training regimen with NorthStar Racing in preparation for the upcoming BRMC season.
As he moves up the competitive ladder, Farhan and his family are actively seeking sponsorship and community support to help fund his racing development and long-term goals. The rising cost of training, equipment, and international exposure makes external backing crucial to sustain his momentum.
This season’s BRMC will also serve as a qualifying pathway to the prestigious Rotax Max Challenge Grand Finals (RMCGF) an annual global event that gathers the world’s top Rotax racers. In a fitting twist of fate, the 2025 Grand Finals will be hosted in Bahrain, from November 29 to December 6 at the very track where Farhan began his journey: the BIKC.
For Farhan, the chance to represent Bahrain and possibly compete on the world stage at home would be a dream come true and another milestone on what he hopes will be a path to Formula 1.
