46th GCC Summit Media Centre Inaugurated in Bahrain

Manama : The media centre for the 46th Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) Summit, set to be hosted by the Kingdom of Bahrain tomorrow, Wednesday, December 4, has been officially inaugurated. The opening ceremony was attended by Jasim Mohammed Albudaiwi, Secretary General of the GCC; Nabil bin Yaqoub Al Hamer, Adviser to His Majesty the King for Media Affairs; and Dr. Ramzan bin Abdulla Al Noaimi, Minister of Information and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the National Communication Centre (NCC).

Dr. Al Noaimi expressed Bahrain’s pride in hosting the 46th GCC Summit, highlighting the Kingdom’s dedication to strengthening joint Gulf action under the leadership of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and with the continued support of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister. He emphasised that these combined efforts aim to enhance cooperation among GCC states and advance regional integration and prosperity, rooted in unity of purpose and shared goals.

The Information Minister noted that the summit represents a major regional event that demonstrates Gulf cohesion and solidarity. He stressed that its timing calls for intensified media efforts to convey the summit’s strategic importance. He affirmed that the Ministry of Information, the NCC, and all relevant authorities are fully committed to supporting local, regional, and international media outlets to ensure comprehensive and effective coverage.

GCC Secretary General Albudaiwi, Advisor Al Hamer, and Dr. Al Noaimi toured the media centre and its accompanying exhibition, reviewing the technical and organisational preparations put in place to deliver integrated media services for the summit.

They commended the extensive work dedicated to equipping the media centre to the highest professional standards and praised the ongoing efforts of media teams in providing thorough coverage that highlights the summit’s significance and its pivotal role in advancing joint Gulf initiatives.
