Global Food Week in Abu Dhabi Seals Dh6.6 Billion in Deals, Showcases Food Innovation

Abu Dhabi — The 2025 Global Food Week in Abu Dhabi concluded earlier this week with 58 agreements signed worth a total of Dh6.6 billion, marking a 6.5% increase from the previous edition and underscoring the emirate’s growing stature as a global hub for sustainable food systems and agritech innovation.

Organised by the ADNEC Group, part of the Modon Holding portfolio, in partnership with the Abu Dhabi Agriculture and Food Safety Authority (ADAFSA), the Khalifa International Award for Date Palm and Agricultural Innovation, and the Abu Dhabi Investment Office (ADIO), the event brought together industry leaders, innovators, and investors from around the world.

This year’s edition featured the return of two major international exhibitions the 4th Abu Dhabi International Food Exhibition and the 11th Abu Dhabi Date Palm Exhibition both serving as key platforms for showcasing advancements in food production, processing, and trade.

New initiatives launched during the week included Global Food Talks, the AgriTech Forum, and the Alternative Proteins Initiative, all designed to promote innovation, sustainability, and collaboration across the global food value chain.

In addition to the exhibitions, the event featured a series of interactive sessions, networking opportunities, and side events, highlighting the UAE’s commitment to advancing food security, technology adoption, and climate-resilient agriculture.

With strong international participation and record deal value, Global Food Week 2025 reaffirmed Abu Dhabi’s leadership in shaping the future of sustainable food ecosystems and its role in fostering investment and innovation across the global food industry.
