Qatar extends complimentary hotel stays for stranded visitors until 14 March

Qatar Tourism has confirmed that temporary hotel stay extensions for visitors affected by recent travel disruptions will remain in place until March 14, 2026.
The measure applies to eligible visitors whose flights have been cancelled or disrupted since February 28, providing them with additional time to arrange their return travel.
Under the initiative, affected travelers are being offered complimentary accommodation in licensed hotels across Qatar. The arrangement includes the same room category originally booked along with three daily meals, ensuring visitors have access to essential services while waiting for new travel arrangements.
Officials said the extension is part of efforts to support international visitors during the ongoing travel disruptions and to ensure their comfort and safety while they remain in the country.
The hospitality support program reflects coordination between Qatar’s tourism authorities and the local hospitality sector to accommodate stranded travelers and maintain smooth tourism services during the situation.
