Qatar’s Amir, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, received a phone call on Monday from the President of the Russian Federation, Vladimir Putin, who conveyed Moscow’s solidarity following recent regional developments.
During the call, President Putin expressed Russia’s support for Qatar in light of Iran’s attacks and affirmed his country’s readiness to provide assistance aimed at strengthening Qatar’s security and stability.
Sheikh Tamim thanked the Russian president for his solidarity and supportive stance, underscoring the strong diplomatic ties between Doha and Moscow.
Both leaders discussed the latest regional developments and emphasized the importance of dialogue and negotiations to ease tensions.
They stressed the need to intensify diplomatic efforts to reduce escalation, safeguard regional stability, and prevent further deterioration of the security situation.
The conversation comes amid heightened tensions across parts of the Middle East, with regional and international leaders engaging in consultations to contain risks and promote calm through diplomatic channels.
