Raghav Juyal: From Slow Motion Icon to Versatile Screen Performer

Raghav Juyal, born on 10 July 1991 in Dehradun, Uttarakhand, is a true testament to self-made stardom. Fondly known as the "King of Slow Motion", Raghav has carved a niche in Indian entertainment through his surreal dance style, effortless charm, and evolving filmography.

He first came into the spotlight with Dance India Dance (Season 3) in 2012. Despite not making it to the top 18 initially, overwhelming public demand led Grand Master Mithun Chakraborty to reintroduce him as a wildcard entry. From there, Raghav quickly became the most popular contestant, known for reinventing the slow-motion walk and freestyle dancing.

After the show, he became the skipper of “Raghav Ke Rockstars” in DID Li'l Masters 2, leading both his students to the grand finale. His leadership continued in Dance Ke Superkids, where his team was declared the winner.

Raghav’s transition from dance to acting began with his 2014 film debut in Sonali Cable, where critics praised his screen presence, calling him the scene-stealer. This was followed by roles in ABCD 2, Nawabzaade, and Street Dancer 3D alongside Bollywood A-listers.

Beyond dance and film, Raghav became a beloved television host, anchoring multiple seasons of Dance Plus, Dance Champions, and Rising Star, gaining popularity for his humor and spontaneity.

In 2020, he shocked audiences with a dark and intense performance in ZEE5's crime thriller Abhay 2, showing his versatility by stepping into a villainous role. That same year, he led the satirical comedy Bahut Hua Samman, earning critical acclaim for his comic timing and presence.

Fast forward to 2024–2025, and Raghav has taken a bold leap into serious cinema. He appeared in Nikhil Nagesh Bhat’s Kill (2024), where his performance stood out in the action-packed thriller. In 2025, he followed this with a performance in Netflix's controversial and critically acclaimed series The Ba*ds of Bollywood**, and won the IIFA Award for Best Performance in a Negative Role at the 25th IIFA Awards.
