VORO Roastery Opens at Bahrain Harbour, Bringing Bahrain's First Outdoor Specialty Coffee Concept to Life

A destination built for slowing down, VORO Roastery brings specialty coffee, considered design and genuine hospitality together in an open-air setting at Bahrain Harbour.

 Bahrain | July 2026 — Areen Hospitality has officially opened VORO Roastery, a new specialty coffee concept located in front of Charthouse Bahrain at Bahrain Harbour. The opening was marked by a gathering of Areen Hospitality's leadership team, joined by influential figures from across the island, who welcomed the Kingdom's newest coffee destination. The celebration featured a range of activations, including a live graffiti artist and giveaways from a local artist, adding to the festive atmosphere of the evening.

Inspired by the Latin verb vorare, meaning "to swallow" or "to devour", VORO’s concept is a nod to the island’s appetite for quality brews. Specialty coffee has been finding a real following in Bahrain, and VORO pairs the dynamic café culture the island knows well with an outdoor experience, creating a place worth spending an afternoon.

The Coffee, the Craft, and What Sets It Apart

Alongside familiar brewing methods such as V60, Chemex, French Press, AeroPress and Cold Brew, VORO's menu leans into flavours with a regional touch. Standout drinks include the VORO Signature, Pistachio Crema, Saffron Bloom, Blue Bloom, Hibiscus Hydrate, Tahini Date, Strawberry Rose Matcha, Pistachio Matcha and Yuzu Espresso Tonic. Milk alternatives are available across all coffee and matcha beverages, so every guest can order their cup exactly the way they like it.

On the food side, freshly baked croissants and gourmet sandwiches sit alongside signature desserts, including the Pistachio Raspberry Cake and Matilda Cake.

A Space Designed for Slowing Down

The design takes its cues from nature: earthy tones, natural materials, lush greenery and warm textures come together to create a calm, welcoming atmosphere that feels far removed from a typical café. Every part of it, from the brand identity to the interiors, was developed in-house by the Areen Hospitality team, who saw the concept through from the initial idea to the finished space.
