Chosen from among 270 villages across 65 countries, Masfout stood out for its exceptional commitment to sustainability, community empowerment, and preservation of natural and cultural heritage. This award highlights how Ajman is championing eco-tourism and rural development as part of the UAE’s vision for a greener, more inclusive future.
The recognition was announced at an official ceremony in Huzhou, China, with a proud Emirati delegation in attendance. Masfout is now a global model for balancing tourism growth with authenticity and sustainability, setting a new standard in the region and beyond.
From its rugged mountains and tranquil landscapes to its vibrant traditions and local crafts, Masfout is more than just a destination it's a living example of how rural tourism can thrive sustainably.
