Bahrain confirms no change to truck ban timings on Sheikh Khalifa bin Salman Bridge

The Muharraq Municipal Council has received official confirmation from Bahrain’s Traffic Directorate that the existing truck ban on Sheikh Khalifa bin Salman Bridge will remain unchanged.
According to the confirmation, the current restriction, which prohibits truck movement on the bridge from 6:30am to 8:00am and from 2:00pm to 3:00pm, has been deemed sufficient to manage traffic flow and congestion during peak hours.
Authorities said there are no plans to amend or extend the ban at this time, following an assessment of traffic conditions on the key route connecting Muharraq with other parts of the kingdom.
The decision provides clarity for transport operators and daily commuters, ensuring continued traffic management measures without additional restrictions on commercial vehicle movement.
