Minister of Tourism Inaugurates ANNADA’s New Boutique at Marassi Galleria

H.E. Mrs. Fatima bint Jaafar Al Sairafi, Minister of Tourism, inaugurated ANNADA’s new boutique at Marassi Galleria, coinciding with the brand’s 14th anniversary celebrations.
On this occasion, the minister emphasized the importance of supporting national initiatives that showcase Bahraini identity and enrich the integrated tourism experience. She highlighted how such initiatives open opportunities for Bahraini brands to expand regionally and internationally. Focusing on brands that embody cultural and heritage elements that enhance tourism, diversify the economy, and strengthen the tourism sector’s contribution to national growth.
She further noted that the opening of ANNADA’s new boutique reflects the continued focus on fostering innovative projects that merge local creativity with tourism appeal, in line with efforts to diversify tourism offerings and boost the sector’s role in the national economy.
Ms. Nada Alawi, Founder and Creative Director of ANNADA, praised the official support extended to national brands, which serves as a strong incentive for continued growth. She noted that the Marassi Galleria boutique offers an opportunity to present Bahrain’s unique blend of fashion and art in an innovative way, while highlighting the growing presence of local brands as cultural and tourism attractions.
She stated, “Opening our new boutique at Marassi Galleria, alongside celebrating ANNADA’s 14th anniversary, holds a very special meaning for us. Our constant goal is to bring art closer to people—to be part of their lives, whether worn, gifted, or cherished as a keepsake.”
Co-founder Ms. Noor Alawi added, “This opening reflects ANNADA’s vision of making creativity an integral part of our daily culture. From luxurious scarves to lifestyle pieces, we continue to offer ways of bringing art closer and more beautifully into people’s lives.”
The inauguration was attended by officials, art enthusiasts, and lifestyle aficionados. The event featured a special exhibition titled “The Artwork and the Scarf,” showcasing original paintings alongside the ANNADA pieces they inspired, from scarves and apparel to lifestyle items. The designs embodied the essence of creativity, extending the impact of the canvas beyond the gallery walls to become elegance woven into daily life.
Since its founding in 2011, ANNADA has collaborated with over 25 leading regional artists, including Shaikh Rashid Al Khalifa, Abbas Almosawi, Shaikha Marwa Al Khalifa, Raeda Ashour, Maryam Fakhro, Abdul Elah Arab, and Omar Al Rashid. These collaborations have resulted in creations that celebrate heritage, culture, and contemporary taste.
Throughout its journey, ANNADA has received numerous honors, including the Bahraini Female Entrepreneur Honor Seal (2016), a nomination for the Bahrain Entrepreneurship Award, and most recently, the 2025 Customer Loyalty Award from the Jadara Awards, in recognition of its dedication to building enduring relationships with its customers.
