BDB-Led Initiative Vows Stronger Future for Bahraini SMEs

A major collaborative event aimed at empowering Bahrain’s entrepreneurship and small and medium-sized enterprise (SME) ecosystem has been organised by the Bahrain Development Bank (BDB). Held at the Bahrain Chamber’s Majlis Hall, the gathering brought together key stakeholders, industry experts and SME owners to discuss strategies for strengthening the sector’s growth and resilience. 

The event highlighted the critical role of SMEs in driving economic diversification, job creation and innovation, aligning closely with the objectives of Bahrain’s Economic Vision 2030. Participants explored opportunities to enhance access to finance, improve business capabilities and foster stronger collaboration between the public and private sectors.

Speakers emphasised the importance of targeted support programmes, knowledge sharing and capacity building to help SMEs scale sustainably in a rapidly evolving business environment. BDB reaffirmed its commitment to providing financial solutions, advisory services and partnerships that enable entrepreneurs to turn ideas into viable, competitive enterprises.
