Delta Airlines to Launch First Non-Stop Flight From Atlanta to Riyadh in 2026

Delta Air Lines, the oldest operating airline in the United States and the world’s third-largest carrier, will become the first American airline to fly non-stop from Atlanta’s Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport (ATL) to Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, beginning October 2026. The long-haul service, operating three times weekly on the Airbus A350-900, will offer Delta One lie-flat seats, Premium Select, Comfort, and Main cabin options, aiming to connect travelers comfortably and efficiently. Delta CEO Ed Bastian highlighted the strategic importance of Riyadh, describing it as a hub of opportunity and wealth in the Middle East, while emphasizing the airline’s commitment to global growth as it enters its second century of service.

The new route underscores Riyadh’s growing global appeal and strategic importance, enhancing trade, investment, tourism, and cultural exchange between the United States and Saudi Arabia. Ahmed Al-Khateeb, Saudi Minister of Tourism, welcomed Delta’s move, noting that the nonstop connection would drive innovation, business opportunities, and global accessibility for travelers. Bloomberg reported that Delta is also advancing its partnership with Riyadh Air and exploring opportunities at the planned King Salman International Airport. This over 7,000-mile route will provide Saudi travelers easy one-stop access to more than 150 US cities, further strengthening bilateral ties and international connectivity.
