National Cybersecurity Centre Appoints New Directors Under Royal Guard Commander’s Directive

Manama, Bahrain – October 17, 2025
In a strategic move to strengthen Bahrain’s digital resilience, Lieutenant General Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, National Security Adviser, Commander of the Royal Guard, and Secretary General of the Supreme Defence Council, has issued Decision (2) of 2025, appointing new directors at the National Cybersecurity Centre (NCC).
The appointments were made following the recommendation of the NCC’s Chief Executive Officer.
According to the decision, Ahmed Isa Ahmed Abulfateh has been appointed as Director of the National Response Directorate.
This key leadership role places Abulfateh at the forefront of Bahrain’s cybersecurity response efforts, further reinforcing the Kingdom’s capabilities in detecting, responding to, and mitigating cyber threats at the national level.
These appointments align with Bahrain’s ongoing digital transformation strategy and commitment to protecting national infrastructure and digital assets across government, finance, energy, and communications sectors.
The National Cybersecurity Centre continues to play a central role in coordinating Bahrain’s cybersecurity policies, incident response, risk management, and national awareness campaigns.
Further appointments are expected to be announced as the NCC expands its operational and strategic reach.
