Qatar and UAE leaders reaffirm regional stability and strategic ties in Abu Dhabi meeting
His Highness the Amir Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani met with UAE President Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan in Abu Dhabi on Saturday, February 14, 2026, reaffirming the strong fraternal relations between Qatar and the United Arab Emirates.
During the meeting, the two leaders reviewed the latest regional and international developments, with particular focus on the Middle East. They emphasized the importance of dialogue, diplomacy, and joint coordination to promote security, stability, and peace across the region.
Both sides also discussed prospects for strengthening bilateral cooperation across key sectors, including economic and developmental partnerships. The leaders explored ways to enhance collaboration that supports shared interests and long-term growth.
In addition, they reaffirmed their commitment to joint action aimed at creating opportunities for sustainable development and lasting prosperity for their peoples and the wider region.
The high-level fraternal visit was attended by senior officials from both countries. From the UAE, attendees included Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Hamdan bin Mohammed Al Maktoum, and Tahnoon bin Zayed Al Nahyan. From Qatar, those present included Jassim bin Hamad Al Thani and Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al Thani.
The meeting concluded with both leaders reiterating the depth of ties between Qatar and the UAE and their shared commitment to continued strategic coordination.
