Saudi Arabia: Jeddah Winter Wonderland Thrills Visitors With Rides and Entertainment

Jeddah Season 2025 has officially launched Jeddah Winter Wonderland, offering the largest winter-themed entertainment experience ever staged in the coastal city. The attraction opened this week and will run until February, transforming King Abdulaziz Road near the Corniche into a festive destination inspired by international winter parks.

Designed to evoke a magical winter atmosphere, the venue features snow-themed settings, immersive lighting, and vibrant visual effects. Visitors are welcomed by a grand fairytale-style entrance resembling a storybook castle, complete with glowing blue-lit stone towers, snowy rooftops, and an arch crowned with the Winter Wonderland sign. Just beyond the gate, a glowing ice-blue tree sets the tone for a whimsical winter experience under the open sky.

Inside, guests are greeted by a visually rich environment filled with penguins, artificial snow, snowmen, a giant moving mammoth, towering polar bears, animated statues, reindeer, and sparkling ice-diamond structures. The park is divided into four main themed zones Toy Town, North Pole, Wild Winter, and Frost Fair each offering a mix of amusement rides, skill-based games, and family-friendly activities.

Winter Wonderland combines thrilling rides, horror experiences, kids-only zones, arcade games, roller coasters, and anime-inspired areas. Food stalls line the walkways, leading to a massive open-air theater that hosts daily shows and live programs. Throughout the park, performers dressed in winter-themed costumes interact with guests, dancing, waving, and blowing bubbles, much to the delight of younger visitors.

The attraction caters to all age groups, blending family-friendly environments with adrenaline-filled rides and immersive entertainment.

Kinda Shehata and Khalda Al-Anqari, both 13-year-old students from Jeddah Knowledge School, shared their excitement about the experience.

“When I first entered Winter Wonderland, I was honestly shocked by how beautiful it was,” Kinda said. “I loved the lights, and it’s even better at night. The rides are a perfect mix of scary and fun, and I definitely recommend it.”

She added that the variety of food and the way staff interact with visitors made the experience even more enjoyable.

Khalda described the park as “unexpectedly amazing and beautiful,” noting its vast size. “I don’t think I could finish all the rides and try all the delicious food in just one day,” she said, adding that while she enjoyed the overall vibe, she hoped to see more extreme rides and roller coasters in the future.

Mira Magno, a Filipino expat who has lived in Saudi Arabia for a decade, visited the park with friends and her three-year-old daughter. “The weather is nice, and all the rides are good. Everything is enjoyable. It’s a lovely experience for families,” she said.

Suraj, an Indian resident who has lived in Saudi Arabia for over 26 years, said Winter Wonderland has become part of his family’s annual tradition. “We make sure to attend these events every year. My children really enjoy the rides and have a lot of fun,” he said.

Fathima, 13, and her 12-year-old brother Samvid described the park as extraordinary and full of energy. “This park is very exclusive and extraordinary, and I love it,” Fathima said, highlighting Apollo 13 as her favorite ride. Her brother added, “Winter Wonderland was not just fun, but a memorable adventure.”

The attraction features 32 amusement rides, 10 skill-based games, and nine interactive experiences. Visitors can also explore more than 60 restaurants and retail outlets offering international cuisine, shopping options, live music performances, and winter-themed décor.

One of the standout areas is the North Pole zone, inspired by the Arctic. It features snow-covered landscapes, illuminated ice elements, and light shows modeled after the Aurora Borealis. The zone also includes the Jeddah ice rink, where visitors can enjoy ice skating to music under colorful festive lighting.

Another highlight is the Snow Dome, an immersive 360-degree structure filled with Aurora-inspired visuals and interactive color projections, creating a dreamlike environment ideal for families and groups.

Jeddah Winter Wonderland is open from 4 p.m. to midnight on weekdays and from 4 p.m. to 1 a.m. on weekends. Entry for adults is SR30 on weekdays and SR40 on weekends, while children aged six and under can enter for free.
