Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque Records Highest-Ever Visitor Numbers in 2025
The Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque Centre welcomed a record 6,846,723 guests in 2025, marking a four per cent increase compared to 2024 and the highest annual attendance in the mosque’s history. The figures reflect the mosque’s growing role as a global cultural, spiritual and architectural landmark.
Worshippers accounted for a significant share of visitors, with 1,531,192 people attending prayers throughout the year. This included 257,859 worshippers for Friday (Jumu‘ah) prayers, 697,961 for daily prayers, and 575,372 who visited during the holy month of Ramadan and the two Eid celebrations.
Cultural engagement and religious hospitality also remained central to the mosque’s outreach. A total of 898,767 guests attended iftar meals during Ramadan, highlighting the mosque’s role as a gathering place for the community during the holy month.
Visitor numbers reached 4,331,046 in 2025, underscoring sustained global interest in the mosque’s architecture, cultural programmes and guided tours. In addition, 85,718 people made use of the Mosque Promenade, further enhancing the overall visitor experience.
Officials said the figures reflect the success of cultural tours, events and educational initiatives, reinforcing the Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque’s position as one of the most visited cultural and religious sites in the world.
