Sri Lotus Developers partners with Bachchan family for ultra-luxury project in GIFT City
Anand Pandit’s Sri Lotus Developers & Realty Ltd. has entered into a major real estate development agreement with the Bachchan family for a landmark project in GIFT City, Gujarat, marking the developer’s formal entry into the state’s fast-growing property market.
According to official filings and company announcements, the agreement has been executed through Sri Lotus Developers’ subsidiary Rise Root Projects Pvt Ltd, with Abhishek Bachchan named as the counterparty on behalf of the Bachchan family.
The project will be developed on a freehold land parcel located along the Sabarmati riverfront in GIFT City, which was reportedly acquired by Amitabh Bachchan nearly 15 years ago. The location places the development within India’s first operational smart city and International Financial Services Centre (IFSC).
Planned as an ultra-luxury mixed-use development, the project will feature a built-up area exceeding one million square feet. The proposed components include premium retail spaces, Grade-A commercial offices, and high-end residential units, positioning it among the most ambitious private developments in GIFT City.
The agreement follows a profit-sharing model, under which Sri Lotus Developers will be responsible for the design, planning, and execution of the project, while the Bachchan family contributes the land asset. The registered development agreement was signed by Rajesh Yadav, Managing Director of Amitabh Bachchan Corporation Limited (ABCL).
For Sri Lotus Developers, the deal represents a strategic expansion into Gujarat and a foothold in one of India’s most future-focused financial and business hubs. For the Bachchan family, it marks a significant long-term real estate venture aligned with GIFT City’s positioning as a global financial destination.
