UAE Leadership and Elon Musk Discuss Advancements in Technology and Artificial Intelligence

UAE President His Highness Shaikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan met with SpaceX and Tesla CEO Elon Musk to discuss the latest advancements in technology and artificial intelligence, and their growing role in shaping the future of humanity. The meeting highlighted how emerging innovations can enhance quality of life while contributing to long-term global progress.

During the discussions, both sides emphasised the importance of international partnerships, collaboration, and knowledge exchange in accelerating the adoption of cutting-edge technologies. They noted that such cooperation is essential for enabling nations and specialised institutions to drive digital transformation, address future challenges, and harness technology in ways that support sustainable development and shared prosperity.

In a separate meeting, Dubai Crown Prince, UAE Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defence, and Chairman of the Dubai Executive Council, His Highness Shaikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, also met with Musk to explore technological transformations and their impact on building a sustainable and prosperous future. Their talks focused on leveraging emerging technologies to support comprehensive development and tackle global challenges.

Shaikh Hamdan highlighted the UAE and Dubai’s emergence as global hubs for technology and innovation, attributing this progress to forward-looking legislative and regulatory frameworks that encourage early adoption of new technologies. He also underscored the importance of attracting specialised talent and fostering strong partnerships with leading international technology companies
