Wynn Al Marjan Island Tower Tops Out, Marking Major Step Toward 2027 Opening
Dubai - Wynn Al Marjan Island has reached a major construction milestone, with its landmark resort tower officially topping out at 283 metres of structural concrete height. Achieved just 27 months after foundation works began, the milestone signals the project’s steady progress toward its planned spring 2027 opening and cements the development as a defining feature of Ras Al Khaimah’s evolving skyline.
The 70-floor tower will next see the installation of its spire in 2026, bringing the total height to 352 metres and making it the tallest structure in Ras Al Khaimah by more than 100 metres. With the structural phase largely complete, construction has now shifted fully to interior fit-outs across the resort’s extensive accommodation and facilities. Interior works are underway in 1,504 of the 1,530 guest rooms and suites, while façade installation has reached 79 per cent completion. Low-rise buildings across the resort are 99 per cent structurally complete, and more than 438,968 cubic metres of concrete have been poured since construction began.
A landmark integrated resort-
Spanning over 60 hectares, Wynn Al Marjan Island will open with a diverse mix of luxury accommodation, including 1,217 hotel rooms, 297 Enclave suites, two Royal Apartments, four Garden Townhomes, and 10 Marina Estates. The resort will feature 22 restaurants and bars, a beach club, a luxury spa, high-end retail at the shopping parterre, the Coral Court events venue, The Showroom theatre, 12 swimming pools, and a 420-metre white-sand beach complete with a deep-water marina for superyachts.
The topping-out ceremony brought together senior executives from Wynn Resorts, Wynn Design & Development, and Marjan, who marked the occasion by pouring the final batch of concrete at the summit and receiving commemorative steel bars from the build.
Max Tappeiner, President of Wynn Al Marjan Island, said the milestone represents more than construction progress. “Standing at 352 metres and, as the highest building in the Northern Emirates, Wynn Al Marjan Island is reshaping the skyline of Ras Al Khaimah and anchoring a destination designed for guests who expect the very best,” he said. “Reaching the tower’s highest structural concrete point in just over two years is a defining moment for Wynn Resorts and a testament to the dedication of the teams delivering this vision.”
Abdulla Al Abdouli, Group CEO of Marjan, added that the project is central to the emirate’s future. “Wynn Al Marjan Island is more than a single development; it is the centrepiece of a new global destination taking shape in Ras Al Khaimah. This milestone brings us closer to welcoming the world to a resort that will redefine the emirate’s hospitality offering.”
Jobs, momentum and future growth-
To date, the project has generated over 18,000 construction jobs, with 100 per cent of hotel room interiors now in fit-out, 90 per cent of low-rise venue partitions completed, and mechanical, electrical and plumbing works progressing steadily.
Development momentum on Al Marjan Island continues beyond Wynn. Work is also advancing on Janu Al Marjan Island, a second joint venture announced last month under Aman Group’s sister brand, targeting a late 2028 opening. Together, these projects anchor more than 60 acres earmarked for future expansion, positioning Al Marjan Island as a long-term hospitality and tourism powerhouse in the Northern Emirates.
