The Voice Behind Some of Dubai’s Biggest Stages: Meet Sophiya Anjam

Dubai-based media personality Sophiya Anjam is continuing to make her mark in the UAE’s entertainment and events industry, recently receiving the title of Emcee of the Year at the Gulf Good News (GGN) Awards.

With 19 years of experience in media, Anjam currently hosts Sounds Good with Sophie on VibeFM and has established herself as a presenter, moderator and live event host. Her contributions to the industry have also earned her a UAE Golden Visa.

Beyond radio, she serves as the official host of Soul Fest, one of South Asia's largest food and music festivals, while also moderating discussions for organisations including Gulf News and TEDx. She is additionally the official podcast host for Manipal Academy of Higher Education (MAHE) Dubai.

Over the years, Anjam has hosted cultural, corporate and entertainment events across the UAE, United States, Spain, Italy, Turkey, Thailand and Malaysia. Her client portfolio includes brands such as Danube Properties, Gulf News, Index Exchange and AAA Real Estate, and she has shared stages with leading artists, public figures and dignitaries from around the world.

Alongside her professional work, Anjam supports social causes through her involvement with Shaukat Khanum Cancer Hospital and WWF Pakistan, combining her media platform with community advocacy.
