Dubai Police Keep Traffic Flowing Smoothly at Hatta Winter Festival

Dubai Police have assured the public that traffic around the Hatta Winter Festival is running smoothly, thanks to intensified patrols, coordinated efforts, and enhanced traffic management measures implemented across the area.

Major General Saif Muhair Al Mazroui, Assistant Commander-in-Chief for Operations and Chair of the Events Security Committee (ESC), urged visitors to adhere to traffic and safety guidelines, particularly during peak times and weekends. He encouraged families to supervise their children, cooperate with officers, and contact 999 for emergencies and 901 for non-urgent queries.

Dedicated Operations Room for Faster Response-

To ensure maximum safety, authorities have set up a fully equipped operations room, designed to accelerate response times and monitor developments in real time. The system is part of a broader strategy to ensure a seamless and secure experience for the thousands of expected festivalgoers.

Now in its second edition, the festival  organised by Brand Dubai, the creative arm of the Government of Dubai Media Office  runs until December 28 along Lake Leem, offering a host of family-friendly activities.

Smooth Entry and Exit for Visitors-

Al Mazroui highlighted that operations have been intensified in collaboration with the Roads and Transport Authority (RTA), helping hundreds of visitors enter and exit the festival site without major delays. He noted that these efforts reflect the ESC’s commitment to providing a safe and enjoyable environment while showcasing Hatta as a growing winter tourism hub.

Enhanced Patrols, Parking, and On-Ground Support-

Colonel Ali Obaid Al Bedwawi, Acting Director of Hatta Police Station, confirmed that internal and external task forces have been activated, with officers stationed at all major entry and exit points to manage traffic flow. A new parking lot with capacity for around 500 vehicles has helped reduce congestion on surrounding roads.

Strong cooperation from visitors and the swift actions of field teams have contributed to maintaining smooth traffic throughout the area.

On the security front, Dubai Police and Brand Dubai are using advanced monitoring technologies in the operations room to oversee all event activities. Women police teams are also present to support families, while young Hatta volunteers are assisting with event operations.

Col. Al Bedwawi affirmed that all teams are fully prepared to respond to any situation, ensuring a safe, smooth, and memorable experience for festival attendees.
