Emirates Wins ‘Best Airline in the World’ for 8th Year at ULTRAs 2025, Sir Tim Clark Receives Lifetime Achievement Honour
Emirates Airline has once again been named the ‘Best Airline in the World’ at the ULTRAs travel awards 2025, marking its eighth consecutive win and reaffirming its dominance in the global aviation industry. The awards, chosen by 1.2 million travellers worldwide, also recognised Emirates for having the Best Premium Economy Class. In addition, the airline’s president, Sir Tim Clark, received the prestigious Lifetime Achievement Award for Services to Global Aviation.
In his acceptance speech, Sir Tim Clark credited the airline’s continued success to its multi-billion-dollar investment strategy, which includes an extensive aircraft retrofit programme, expanding global network, and enhanced crew training. “At Emirates, we want every customer to ‘fly better,’ and that’s why we never stop investing into the Emirates experience,” he said. He reaffirmed the airline’s commitment to “providing the very best in international air travel” and continually raising the bar for quality.
Emirates named ‘Best Airline in the World’-
Emirates’ flagship award reflects its broad global appeal, supported by a network serving over 150 destinations and a diverse fleet that includes Airbus A380s, A350s, and Boeing 777s. Travellers frequently highlight the airline’s premium onboard experience, including the award-winning ice entertainment system and luxurious amenities such as private suites, onboard lounges, and shower spas.
Best Premium Economy Class-
The win for Best Premium Economy Class highlights the success of Emirates’ newest cabin product. The airline is the only carrier in the Middle East offering a true premium economy experience, featuring dedicated check-in counters, spacious cream leather seats with up to 40 inches of pitch, and upgraded dining options. The cabin is now available on routes from Dubai to 61 global destinations, expanding rapidly as part of the airline’s fleet refurbishment plan.
Sir Tim Clark honoured for a five-decade aviation legacy-
Sir Tim Clark’s Lifetime Achievement Award celebrates a career that reshaped modern long-haul aviation. Having joined Emirates in 1985 and becoming president in 2003, he helped guide the airline’s transformation from a regional carrier into one of the world’s largest and most admired international airlines.
A year of awards for Emirates-
The ULTRAs win adds to an already impressive list of accolades for Emirates in 2025. Earlier this year, the airline was named ‘Best International Airline’ at the Forbes Travel Guide Verified Air Travel Awards and won top honours at The Times Travel Awards. Its loyalty programme, Emirates Skywards, was also recently recognised as the Best Global Airline Loyalty Program.
With its customer-centric strategy and continued investment in next-generation products, Emirates shows no signs of slowing down as it enters another year of global leadership.
