HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Competes in Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Endurance Cup
His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Representative of His Majesty the King for Humanitarian Work and Youth Affairs and Captain of the Royal Endurance Team, took part in the 100-kilometre International Endurance Race held as part of the His Highness Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa Endurance Cup.
The championship is staged under the patronage of His Highness Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Chairman of the General Sports Authority and President of the Bahrain Olympic Committee, and is organised by the Bahrain Royal Equestrian and Endurance Federation (BREEF).
The event was attended by several senior members of the Royal Family, including His Highness Shaikh Faisal bin Rashid Al Khalifa, Vice President of the Supreme Council for Environment, Deputy Chairman of the High Committee of the Rashid Equestrian and Horseracing Club, and Member of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports. Also in attendance were His Highness Shaikh Hamad bin Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa and His Highness Shaikh Mohammed bin Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa.
During the event, HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa reaffirmed his continued support for endurance racing, stressing its role in strengthening Bahrain’s equestrian sports through the promotion of discipline, perseverance, and high athletic standards. He highlighted that the ongoing backing of HH Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa has been instrumental in enhancing competitiveness and elevating the performance of Bahraini riders at both regional and international levels.
His Highness also praised the strong participation in the championship and extended his best wishes to competitors taking part in the Private Stables Race, scheduled for Saturday. The endurance championship will conclude with the 120-kilometre Private Stables Race for the HH Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa Cup, marking the culmination of a major event on Bahrain’s equestrian calendar.
