Hosh Msheireb brings Qatari winter traditions to life throughout January 2026
Hosh Msheireb is set to become one of Doha’s most atmospheric cultural experiences this winter, running daily from January 1 to January 31, 2026, at Msheireb Museums’ Company House. Open from 4pm to 10pm, the event offers visitors a warm and immersive introduction to Qatari heritage during the cooler evenings of the season.
Designed as a traditional winter gathering, Hosh Msheireb recreates the feeling of a classic Qatari courtyard. Guests are welcomed into a heritage-inspired setting featuring Majlis-style seating, Arabic coffee, light traditional snacks, and live cultural performances. The experience focuses on storytelling, music, and social interaction, making it ideal for families, residents, and visitors looking to engage with local culture in an authentic way.
The event is ticketed and curated to encourage slower, more meaningful engagement with Qatari customs, from coffee rituals to informal performances that reflect community life. By hosting the activation at Company House, Msheireb Museums places the experience within a historically significant space, reinforcing the connection between the past and present.
Hosh Msheireb forms part of Msheireb Downtown Doha’s wider winter program, which transforms the district into a lively cultural hub throughout January. Visitors can combine their visit with other major events happening across Doha during the same period.
Highlights include the Baraha Musical Concert at Barahat Msheireb on January 15 and 16, the Qatar International Food Festival at Stadium 974 from January 14 to 24, and DIMDEX 2026 at the Qatar National Convention Centre from January 19 to 22. Music lovers can also look forward to the 25N51E Music Festival on January 30 at Stadium 974, while outdoor events such as Sealine Season and the Qatar Kite Festival add to the festive winter atmosphere across the country.
With its focus on heritage, hospitality, and community, Hosh Msheireb offers a calm yet engaging contrast to larger festivals, inviting guests to slow down and experience Qatari winter traditions in an intimate setting.
