India and Bahrain Hold Fifth Joint Ministerial Committee Meeting in New Delhi
                                The fifth Bahrain-India Joint Ministerial Committee (JMC) meeting was held in New Delhi, co-chaired by Bahrain’s Foreign Minister Dr. Abdullatif bin Rashid Al Zayani and India’s External Affairs Minister Dr. Subrahmanyam Jaishankar.
Both sides praised the deep-rooted friendship and expanding cooperation between the two nations, underscoring significant progress across key areas such as trade, investment, health, education, and tourism.
Dr. Al Zayani reaffirmed Bahrain’s commitment to regional peace, connectivity, and dialogue, emphasizing the kingdom’s role in promoting stability and collaboration across the Gulf and South Asia. Minister Jaishankar commended Bahrain’s leadership and its continued support for the Indian community, one of the largest expatriate groups in the kingdom.
The discussions also focused on strengthening political coordination and mutual support at international forums, particularly as Bahrain prepares to assume a non-permanent seat on the UN Security Council for the 2026–2027 term.
The meeting concluded with both countries reiterating their shared vision for enhanced strategic partnership and closer cooperation in emerging sectors such as renewable energy, digital innovation, and maritime security.
