NASA Invites Bahrain Enthusiasts to Join Global Space Apps Challenge

Coders, engineers, scientists, designers, storytellers, students, and space enthusiasts are being encouraged to register for the 2025 edition of the NASA International Space Apps Challenge, set to take place next month.

Now in its eighth year, the event will be held on October 4 and 5, hosted across two venues in Bahrain: Bahrain Polytechnic’s Isa Town campus and the University of Bahrain’s Sakhir campus.

The Space Apps Challenge is a global hackathon coordinated by NASA, where participants work in teams to create innovative solutions to real-world challenges using open-source data from NASA and its partner space agencies. It is part of NASA's commitment to engaging the global community in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM).

This year’s event promises to bring together creative minds from different backgrounds to collaborate on projects that span space exploration, climate science, data visualization, and more. Past challenges have led to the development of impactful tools and applications that help both scientists and society.

Registration is now open, and anyone passionate about space, science, or problem-solving is encouraged to participate no matter their experience level. Students, professionals, hobbyists, and dreamers are all welcome.
