SpiceJet schedules special flights from UAE to India to help stranded travellers

SpiceJet has announced plans to operate 13 special flights from the United Arab Emirates to India to help Indian travelers stranded in the Gulf amid ongoing regional tensions. The airline said the flights will depart from Fujairah and Dubai and connect passengers to major Indian cities, including Mumbai and Delhi.

The move follows a series of 12 special flights the airline operated earlier this week linking the Gulf with Mumbai, Delhi, and Kochi as airlines work to assist passengers affected by widespread disruptions to regional air travel.

Flight schedules across West Asia have been heavily impacted by the ongoing conflict involving the United States, Israel, and Iran, which has led to airspace closures, cancellations, and rerouted services across several Gulf countries.

Despite the disruptions, airlines have begun introducing special services and limited operations to help travelers reach their destinations safely.

In a sign of gradual recovery in some routes, flight operations between Kolkata and Dubai have also partially resumed after a four-day suspension.

Aviation authorities and airlines across the region continue to monitor the situation closely, with safety remaining the top priority as operations are restored step by step.
