Namita Thapar (born March 21, 1977) is an Indian entrepreneur, business executive, and angel investor. She currently serves as the Executive Director of Emcure Pharmaceuticals, a leading pharmaceutical company in India. Namita is also a prominent investor on the reality TV show Shark Tank India, where she has invested in over 100 startups across multiple seasons.

Daughter of businessman Satish Ramanlal Mehta, Namita holds an MBA from Duke University’s Fuqua School of Business (2001) and is a Chartered Accountant certified by ICAI. Early in her career, she worked in the U.S. as Business Finance Head at Guidant Corporation before returning to India to join Emcure Pharmaceuticals as CFO and later rising to Executive Director.

Namita is also the founder of the Thapar Entrepreneur Academy, an initiative focused on fostering entrepreneurship and leadership skills. Beyond her corporate roles, she actively mentors and invests in startups, with recent hints at collaboration with Indian cricket legend MS Dhoni.

Married to Vikas Thapar since 2003, Namita is a mother of two sons, Jai and Vir. Her estimated net worth is ₹600 crore, deriving from her leadership role at Emcure, her investments on Shark Tank India, and other business ventures. She is also closely involved in Emcure’s upcoming IPO, which marks a significant milestone for the company.
