Sharjah, UAE – The Emirate is set to transform into a global hub of storytelling as it hosts the 25th edition of the Sharjah International Narrator Forum (SINF), starting September 22, 2025. This landmark silver jubilee edition celebrates the theme "Tales of Travellers", honouring the stories, cultures, and wisdom passed through generations by those who journey across borders and eras.

Over five immersive days, more than 120 narrators from 37 countries will gather in Sharjah to showcase storytelling traditions, participate in intellectual dialogues, and celebrate the universal language of stories. Through exhibitions, performances, and workshops, the Forum will shine a spotlight on travel as a source of inspiration, education, and cultural exchange.

Programme Highlights:

  • Live storytelling performances by acclaimed narrators

  • Themed exhibitions, including Tales of Travellers, featuring rare travelogues and personal collector items from this year’s honouree

  • Over 40 interactive workshops on oral narration, visual storytelling, and practical tools

  • 40 new publications including the standout “Eyes on Journeys” travel literature series

  • Academic sessions with 45 scholars, including lectures, panels, and discussions

  • A vibrant book-signing corner for direct engagement with authors

Guest of Honour – Maldives
Adding rich cultural diversity to the Forum, the Republic of Maldives will be featured as this year’s Guest of Honour. The country will share its maritime traditions and storytelling heritage through a dedicated cultural programme.

Tribute to Pioneers
This year’s edition will also honour cultural guardians and pioneers through the Tribute to Pioneers initiative, recognizing their lifelong work in preserving and transmitting intangible cultural heritage.
