Sharjah Ruler Awards AED26 Million to Successful Sports Clubs

Sharjah: Shaikh Dr Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, has announced a generous reward of AED26 million for sports clubs in Sharjah that excelled during the 2024-2025 season. The initiative recognises the hard work and achievements of clubs across various competitions, reflecting His Highness’ commitment to supporting the sports sector and promoting Sharjah’s reputation locally and regionally.
The funds will help winning clubs enhance facilities, train players, and prepare for future events, ensuring continued strong performance. A total of 21 clubs were rewarded, including 12 sports clubs such as Sharjah, Kalba, Al Bataeh, Khorfakkan, Al Hamriyah, Dibba Al Hisn, Al Dhaid, Al Madam, and Mleiha, as well as nine specialised clubs, including Sharjah Equestrian and Racing Club, Sharjah Chess Club, Al Thiqah Club for the Disabled, and Sharjah Women’s Sports.
