Khwabgaah Productions Presents 'Daadi Ma Ka Putla': A Theatrical Tribute to Dreams, Community & Culture

Khwabgaah Productions, a well-known cultural organization in the Kingdom, is all set to present its latest theatrical venture, *Daadi Ma Ka Putla*, on *Friday, 16th May 2025, at 7 PM* at the prestigious *Bahrain Cultural Hall*.

Founded in 2018, Khwabgaah Productions has made a lasting impact on Bahrain’s arts scene through high-quality theatrical performances, poetry festivals, and socially conscious initiatives. In just six years, the organization has brought five acclaimed, houseful stage productions to life — *Main, Noor Bano*, *Ram Rattan Hazir Ho*, *Zill-e-Tabaahi*, *Yatharth: The Real Truth*, and *Shambhu aur Mani*. Additionally, Khwabgaah hosted a successful awareness event titled *“I Do Not Love Plastic”*, aligning its art with pressing environmental concerns.

Beyond the stage, Khwabgaah has also embraced digital storytelling, having produced *29 original audio stories*, all freely accessible via YouTube. By hosting *28 live poetry sessions*, Khwabgaah has created a vibrant platform for poets from various backgrounds, fostering a rich culture of literary expression.

Under the esteemed patronage of the *Embassy of India in Bahrain*, Khwabgaah has played a central role in curating and hosting several prominent literary events, such as the multilingual poetry celebration *Sadaqatu Dosti Ka* (2022), the second season of the annual poetry festival *Dil Se Desh Tak* (2023), and *Sadaqat II: Shades of Harmony* (2024), fostering unity and cross-cultural dialogue through poetic expression.

Khwabgaah upcoming production, *Daadi Ma Ka Putla*, promises to be yet another milestone in the journey. The event will be graced by the presence of *His Excellency Mr. Vinod K. Jacob*, Ambassador of India to the Kingdom of Bahrain, as the *Chief Guest*, along with *His Excellency Shaikh Ali bin Khalifa bin Mohammed Al Khalifa*, Secretary-General of the *Royal Humanitarian Foundation*, as a distinguished guest.

Written, directed, and produced by *Mrs. Anupam Ramesh Kinger*, founder of Khwabgaah Productions, *Daadi Ma Ka Putla* is a rich, emotionally resonant narrative that blends realism with aspiration. Set in a humble Indian village, the story follows the journey of *Ram Khilavan*, a man of modest means but boundless dreams. As the play unfolds, themes of *patriotism, resilience, friendship, and community spirit* emerge, making it both a personal and universal tale of human endeavor.

The production features a dynamic ensemble of local talent including *Rahul Ingle, Anagha Sandeep Parkhi, Gopal Krishna Mishra, Abhiruchi Jain, Sanjay Dey, Pankaj Jain, Shruti Sharma, Arun Nagendra, Prashant Singh, Priya Singh, Vikas Katiyar, Sanjeev Sharma, Arpita Mehrotra, Mohammed Omar, Bhagirathi Pania, Dinesh Namdeo Vedak, Anurag Sharma, Snehlit Wankhade, Abhishek Gawde*, and *Bhupendra Pathak*.

The stage setup and lighting design for the play is managed by *Saptarshi Bhowmick*, Music direction is led by *Chiro Ghosh*.

More than just a performance, *Daadi Ma Ka Putla* represents Khwabgaah’s ongoing commitment to community upliftment and cultural enrichment. In line with this mission, *all profits from the event will be donated to the Royal Humanitarian Foundation*, supporting meaningful causes.

In keeping with their tradition of social responsibility, Khwabgaah Production offers complimentary front-row seats to senior citizens over 70, and retired military personnel living in Bahrain are always invited free of charge.
