Abu Dhabi Announces Temporary Road Closures for Infrastructure Upgrades

Abu Dhabi’s Integrated Transport Centre (AD Mobility) has announced a series of temporary road closures this weekend as part of ongoing infrastructure upgrades across the emirate. Motorists are advised to plan their journeys in advance and allow extra travel time.

According to the authority, a ramp on Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Road (E10) near Al Raha will be closed on Saturday, October 4, 2025. The closure will be temporary and is part of scheduled maintenance and development works in the area.

In addition, a partial closure on Abu Dhabi–Al Ain Road (E22) will take effect starting the same day, with restrictions continuing until Monday, October 6, 2025. The works will affect traffic flow, particularly during peak hours, and commuters are encouraged to use alternative routes.

Earlier, AD Mobility had also announced a phased closure on Sheikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan Road (E12) towards Saadiyat Island. The project involved lane restrictions over a weekend, first affecting the left lanes, followed by the right lanes, as part of road enhancement works.

Authorities have reminded drivers to follow directional signs, observe reduced speed limits near work zones, and exercise caution for their own safety as well as that of road workers.

The temporary measures are part of Abu Dhabi’s broader plan to modernize and expand its road network to ensure smoother traffic flow and improved safety standards.

For real-time updates, motorists can check AD Mobility’s official social media channels and navigation apps that provide live traffic alerts.
