GDRFA Dubai Honours Global Village Workforce for Years of Service
The General Directorate of Identity and Foreigners Affairs-Dubai (GDRFA) recently honoured members of the Global Village workforce in recognition of their long-standing contributions to one of Dubai’s most popular family destinations.
The ceremony, organised by GDRFA Dubai’s Labour Events Administration in cooperation with Global Village, was held under the banner of the “Love Emirates” initiative, which emphasises human-centric values and improving quality of life in the workplace.
High-ranking officials, including Lieutenant General Mohammed Ahmed Al Marri, Director General of GDRFA Dubai, Major General Obaid Mehyer Bin Suroor, Deputy Director General, and several assistant directors general attended the event, highlighting the authority’s appreciation for the workforce supporting major operational programmes. During the ceremony, 32 workers with a focus on senior and long-serving staff were recognised for their years of service. 30 commemorative gifts were presented as tokens of appreciation.
Lieutenant General Al Marri praised the Global Village workforce, saying:
"We believe that every individual contributing to Dubai’s work ecosystem deserves recognition. The workforce at Global Village is an integral part of the success of this international destination, and their efforts are a constant source of appreciation and pride."
He added that the partnership between GDRFA Dubai and Global Village reflects a shared commitment to fostering humane work environments built on respect and appreciation, reinforcing Dubai’s ongoing efforts to honour and empower its workforce.
